This magazine cover is a plainer NME cover than the one I analysed above. This NME cover emphasises more of the main focus ‘MIA’. This cover is a more adult cover. This cover is aimed for an older male but still in the age group 17-30 I can tell this by the main image she is giving off a sexual appearance by the cigarette in her mouth which also shows rebellion, her body positioning and her hair being blown about. The colours NME have used are eye catching from the bold big text this immediately grabs the reader’s attention. The cover lines however are in a plain and simple black and white text this conveys the reader that it’s important still as it is on the cover but the main focus point for them is the ‘MIA’ hence why there is a main image of the singer and the main cover line. The barcode is easily recognisable as its not just part of the bluely/grey background they have deliberately made a white space for the barcode so it is easily seen by shop assistants to scan. As always the barcode is in the bottom right corner.
