ideas for my magazine
My music magazine initially was based on electro- pop/indie music, this is mainly because I am most interested in that type of music and also because I have a wider knowledge of that type of music. I have planned to have one main image on the cover of a view from up above to look down on the people in the band. I have chosen this view because it just focuses on them and makes it a bit hard core on the same level. My colour scheme would be white, black and red simply because black and white contrast each other and well red gives it some colour. I have thought of different cover names such as impact, crunk and skeptic. In my double page spread I think I am going to do an interview on the bands private life mainly because young people these days are more likely interested on that rather than just a boring interview about well nothing. I’m currently planning on a time line of what the band has been thought since either when they were born till now or since the band first came together. The picture would be pictures of the inside of their life or a typical photo-shoot of somewhere that suits the band. I believe pictures taken from the view of their typical life would be most appealing to readers as you don’t really know what’s behind the scenes. The contents page would be in formal and lots of pictures advertising what’s inside this magazine. It would be laid out like it’s all over the place but still easy to read. For example each topic/section would have a different corner/position with a significant picture beside it. This would make it more interesting to the readers eye.
