College magazine questionnaire

From this college magazine questionnaire I found out that only 5% read the magazine, this proved to us that we would have to raise awareness of the magazine to get people to read it, otherwise there would be no point in finding research to see what the audience would like to see in the college magazine., if no one is going to see it.
75% of the audience said they would not pay for the magazine, so we would have to look at ways of making the customers feel it is worth paying in order to make a profit. 25% that would pay for the magazine would only pay 50p for the magazine, this shows that they don’t think very much of the magazine itself.
People were mostly interested in reading were: upcoming events
Facebook updates
Gigs and cinema reviews
It was shown that the audience were not interested in things like Sudoku and the history of the college. It is important that we take these things into consideration when planning our college magazines because it is a key that both these things we address the ideology of the target audience and make sure we are demonstrating things that they would be interested to read about.
People also thought the magazine needed more pictures and better colours to make it more appealing to the content and language codes will have to be looked at to ensure that they are suitable for the target audience, who are mainly college students. Also most people said that they didn’t think the magazine should be issued more than once a month because they don’t think there is enough activity going on for a weekly magazine issue.
